One in the Chamber is a morphing of two Toledo bands. Dane Corser and James Burns from Exit Reality/Solace and Mark Lafferty and Doug Manteuffel from The Taken. These four guys have a mutual respect, and friendship, forged together by their love for music. One in the Chamber make it a point to get together at least once a week to either write songs, practice, or spend time in the studio. There is no shortage of creative energy. One in the Chamber is perfecting their original songs and a few covers. They are planning to do a series of live shows in early 2013. They want to perfect their sound and are currently about 10 new songs into a new album. One in the Chamber is a mix of rock, heavy rock, metal: A quick overview of what each band member brings to the table. Dane Corser is an accomplished song writer/ guitarist . He remembers everything he ever played, ever songs that he crafted in high school. Dane can straight up play his instrument of choice: guitar. He also is in another local Toledo band called Lost in Chicago, they are currently recording in the studio, and playing live shows in the Toledo area. Mark Lafferty is also an accomplished song writer/guitarist/bassist/producer and all around magician in the studio. He spends countless hours in the studio and has written hundreds of songs. Mark thinks like a guitarist and it shows, not only can you hear, but you can feel his bass playing. James Burns is the driving force behind One in the Chamber. He is an accomplished song writer/drummer/time keeper. James is always ready to go!!! He is a gamer and is always ready to play, whether in the studio, live shows, or practice...Not to mention the most pieces ever assembled on a drum set. Doug Manteuffel is an accomplished song writer/word smith/vocalist. Doug is very comfortable with the hard rocking/ aggressive nature of One in the Chamber. He spends lot of time in the studio and always has a recorder on him 24 hours a day.
